 2011 is shaping up to be the most important year in our short history, as it will see the PCB brake going main stream with several major OEM’s opting for its weight, performance and control advantages. 2011 will also mark the start of testing for our unique hydraulic road rim brake, which will make its debut in Olympic year. As usual product development continues on multiple fronts with projects such as D-Mega, D-Matrix , Iso-Thermal disk brake pads and a smaller lighter version of the PCB specially for Road/electric bike use. Ashima, boldly going forward, introducing next level technologies that ensure our riders don’t need to play “catchup” with the competitors.
PCB-Road: UCI Compliant Hydraulic Road Brake
Work is continuing with the development of the most light weight and aero-dynamic brake, the PCB Road. This brake uniquely utilizes a full carbon cross brace, designed to deliver improved stiffness with minimal frontal area enabling riders to cut through the air effortlessly. Why consider disk when they weigh more, have significantly more drag and mean other items such as hubs/forks and frames will need to be beefed up?
Fully compatible with all mechanical levers, because hydraulic master-cylinder is remote .
